Temporary warehouse assistant
Canterbury Food Bank is recruiting a temporary warehouse assistant for 15 hours pw for a period of 3 months. The hours will be worked between 9.00am and 2.00pm, Wednesday to Friday.
This is an immediate vacancy, and we are looking for someone who can start in mid-August 2026. Please only apply if you are available to start within this timescale.
The salary is £13.45 an hour and will be based at the Charity’s warehouse hub in Whitstable.
This post will contribute to Canterbury Food Bank being able to deliver its core objective of: “Supporting local individuals and families in financial crisis by providing emergency food”.
This is an exciting opportunity to assist with the charity’s warehouse operations, helping to oversee volunteers and enabling emergency food and other additional services to local people in crisis in the Canterbury District. The role involves some manual handling and lifting of food crates and other donations, so applicants should be able to undertake this as part of their normal duties.
The warehouse is a great place to work, with a vibrant atmosphere and plenty of volunteers on hand. We’re busy helping people, and you can be too.
