Volunteer CFB Van Manager

We are looking for a volunteer to look after the Charity’s van.

Overview

The volunteer van manager would be responsible for ensuring the maintenance and safety of the Canterbury Food Bank van

Responsibilities

Ensuring a safe environment
Ensuring a clean environment
Ensuring the van is maintained
Ensuring the van is taxed, insured and MOT’d
Ensuring drivers are trained and drive the van in accordance with CFB policy
Ensuring the van assistants are trained to use the van in accordance with CFB policy
Liaising with Trustees, Core Team and Drivers with any changes to operational matters pertaining to the Food Bank van
 
if you have experience of driving a van or large vehicle this would be ideal.
 
It is estimated that this volunteering position would take around 2/3 hours per week.

Volunteer Drivers to deliver food parcels to homes.

We are looking for couples who can share the same car to help deliver food parcels to the people we support. This would be weekdays (no weekends or evenings).

Drivers must travel in pairs and be willing to travel throughout the Canterbury District (Canterbury, Whitstable, Herne Bay and surrounding villages).  

Expenses can be paid.
